What a wonderful day. Begin to plan right now how you might encourage and cheer up one person today to help them have a wonderful day too. Look for ways to bless, honor, be kind, demonstrate love, show compassion, give, help, assist, promote, share, smile, and just change the atmosphere for someone or some group and in doing so, you will be blessed back in amazing ways. You’ll see.
- “Therefore, let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.” Romans 14:19..
Look for ways to extend peace to others who are in the midst of stressful and difficult situations, whether it be financial, relational, physical or some other problem. Help someone see Jesus working in your life so that they can grasp onto the same hope you have which will lead to faith and be demonstrated in love, knowing that the Father Loves them too. Your random acts of kindness, your sincere gestures of care, and your meaningful demonstrations of compassion may be just the thing that prevents a crisis and helps someone turn their life around towards a more purposeful and intentional relationship with Jesus.
- “And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.” I Corinthians 13:2
Manifest the Kingdom of God today. Pray personally or from a distance for someone and watch how God works out your prayers today and in the coming days to change the spiritual climate around that individual you may work with, or know on your block, or in your church. Seek first the Kingdom of God in all things, and promote Godly attitudes and attributes that enhances activity of the Holy Spirit to set the stage for more Kingdom Encounters. Make it your aim to be well pleasing to the Lord today. Turn from anything that has pulled you away from God’s presence, and begin to live in the freedom by which Christ came to set you free. Begin to see yourself and others “free” rather then in chains and bondages to things that have wrestled you and others to the ground. Speak the Word and not circumstances. Change your thoughts from, nothing will change, to all things are possible with God. Cheer someone else to finish their race with joy!
- “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light.” Matthew 6:22
- “Repent and be converted so that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” Acts 3:19
- “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will guide you with My eye, says the Lord” Psalm 32:8
Walk in love and run with integrity. Treat others like you want to be treated. Stop looking only at your own situation and begin to see other’s as you would like to be seen and treated when you are having a tough day. Be bold in your approach to changing your own life through the power of the Holy Spirit so that others may see the change and then they will realize that you could not have done this on your own. As a result, they approach you because they now want that same power, that same method and that same accessibility to bring needed change in their lives. And as they reach out to you, and as they ask you questions, those questions will begin to open doors so wide a semi-truck could drive through it giving you opportunities to talk about what God has done for you in your life. And the access of power to witness from Acts 1:8 suddenly becomes easy as people approach you for answers. Champion the cause of Christ!
- “When Paul saw his brothers, he thanked God and took courage.” Acts 28:15
Make it a day of change. Surprise yourself and God, with a simple prayer that goes something like this – “Lord I want you to use me today to help someone else. I want to be available to bring good news to someone who seems to be dwelling in a vat of bad news. I want to help someone today and this week with good thoughts, good ideas, good words, powerful words, powerful life changing strategies that help bring course corrections to avoid calamities, and avoid personal disasters as I work with the Holy Spirit as a co-worker to develop and change someone else’s circumstances and make their life a little better. Jesus, please use me to help someone else this day and this week. I am trusting in you to bring me to the right person at the right time, in the right place so that I can help them avoid wrong attitudes that in turn make wrong choices that promote ongoing and difficult situations simply because of wrong thinking. Lord I want to be a seed of transformation.”
- “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2 – What is the first step to that proof. Change your thinking. Practice good thinking.
(Philippians 1:3-7)
“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you” – A remembrance is a thought. –
“Always in every pray of mine making request for you all with joy” – its hard to be joyful if you have negative thoughts –
“For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” – you gotta keep on thinking what God is thinking – He has begun something and He is going to finish it – don’t stop thinking that Jesus has stopped working. Jesus is working behind the scenes right now, but you may not be able to see it. Stay focused on that thought and Trust Him Anyway.
“Just as it is right for me to think this of you all because I have you in my heart.” Your mind will try to reason and think things based on your circumstances, but your heart will process through your relationship with Jesus. Practice good thinking. This will then manifest in good actions, which in turn will promote good responses. And you will see God do amazing, wonderful, incredible things in your life and the lives of others, but you must trust His Word, and trust that He is in control, and trust His ways to be better than your own. Trust is a Must!
- “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it springs the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23
