A lot of people know 2 Chronicles 7:14 – that reads, “if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land.” But do you know what verse 13 says? ” When I shut up heaven and there is no rain…”
I did a study of the weather because for many years I heard people giving God the glory and credit if it was a nice day, but giving the devil the credit if there was a storm – so I looked up nearly 170 verses on the weather in the bible and I discovered 163 verses that credit God in all sorts of weather, and maybe kind of one verse that might give a storm chaser like the devil credit, but my theology classes always taught me that you don’t make a doctrine on one verse – but 163 – well that might be enough
And guess what, not one verse in the bible gives the devil credit for a drought – only God takes that position – so the bottom line is that while 2/3 of the nation is experiencing a drought with unprecedented high temperatures, America goes on its merry way – and maybe some other countries too – but America goes on its way of ignoring God and believing a lie, that everything is going to be okay. The previous years we have had more and more weather related problems, yet no one wants to admit that maybe, just maybe God is calling out to us to repent and be responsible for the sins that have contributed to the current drought –
Acts 3:19 says, “Repent and be converted, so that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” and in a drought everyone is thinking about times of refreshing – so put two and two together and apply 2 Chron 7:13 and 14 and pray to God and see where that might lead you.

Its time America. – its time to pray, repent and see God work out so much of what everyone is complaining about and see the nation return to God.

btw: we need to also pray for TRUE wisdom and TRUE discernment in the churches also
and to recognize false teaching when we hear it and immediately reject it.
Though many wont admit this: We do have some wolves among us in the christian community (1 John 4:1) and TRUE Revival wont happen if we have wolves among the sheep.
We need to badly and frequently pray for TRUE hunger and thirst for Your Word and ask the Holy Spirit to be our Teacher that we may understand and apply it to our daily lives.

cause TRUE revival wont happen btw until we have TRUE repentance. and I hope REAL and TRUE revival comes soon
