Running Free

“If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed… I’d you look within, you may be depressed… If you look to Jesus, you’ll be at rest!” – so come out for an evening of worship, songs, worship, songs, festive refreshments and fellowship – with fellow worship leader and recording artist Kyle Knapp – “And rest…………. in His presence.”

For many months, our son Jason worked hard on his new worship album called, “Running Free” and has twelve original worship songs combined with a few other themes, so I thought I would share some of the details.

When Jason was two days old on his first night home, he slept on my chest while I was on the couch giving Diane a restful night’s sleep in our bedroom.  So he wrote a song about that called “Safe in your Arms” which speaks about that first night leading into riding on my shoulders and transitions to someday when Jason has his own children, and they are our grandchildren – but the song also, specifically pinpoints the Father’s love for us.  I know you will enjoy it.

  • Jason also wrote a song for Diane about Mother’s Day that talks about playing children’s games leading to and demonstrating a Mother’s Love through ongoing faithfulness.  It is simply called, “Thank You”
  • Another song is an original Joyful Christmas tune that has added voices and instrumentation which projects the true meaning and spiritual significance of the Christmas season.  I hope you will rejoice with “Arise O King.”

  • He then put a jazzy upbeat melody to the old familiar hymn, “What a Friend we have in Jesus” that sets the mood for prayerful and meaningful times with the Lord.

  • The CD closes with Jason gently singing in the spirit including phrases about running with God, which then ties in so well with the Opening song “Run with Freedom” that has obvious biblical overtones, but also reflects his days running track with lyrics that make you feel like you are indeed running the race.

Jason did all of his recording at the studios with Kyle Knapp, a local Christian Artist and good friend of our family.  Kyle will join Jason for some of the songs, and also the worship element while sharing some of his own original works too.

Please join us on Sunday Oct 21st. from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the upper Fellowship Room at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in La Vista, a suburb of Omaha, Nebraska.  The church is located on the corner of Melissa and 96th which is between Giles and Harrison, directly across the street from the La Vista police department.

There is no cost, and no preaching, but prayer ministry may be offered, and CD’s will be available for sale from both Jason and Kyle.  Festive refreshments are being provided.  We hope you will mark your calendars now and plan to join us for 90 minutes of songs, worship, songs, and fellowship.

Would you also pass this message along to some of your friends who might enjoy a night of worship and praise and/or to people who may be interested in securing one or more of the worship CD’s.  The suggested donation is $15 plus postage.  Please contact me if interested.  Thank you – we hope to see you there.
