I have been blessed to receive more and more praise reports of healing that happened at the Methodist Church in Houston where I was honored to minister last weekend. God is amazingly sweet to so many people. What a joy it is to minister in this capacity. I hope to post more of these after I return from my current trip to Minnesota.
And then since sending out my blog post about “Walking in present truth even when my present walk looks uneven” which you can read here on my blog, I have been receiving lots of replies of how that particular posted blog is helping people including the one below from Hawaii – printed and shared today with permission.
Remember, that Rev. 19:10 says the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy – so as you read this testimony, begin to expect a word of knowledge to come to you in a prophetic way that then enables you to walk in the same freedom and with the same expectation that God is working for you right now, maybe even behind the scenes just like He is doing in the notes below. Your time of Testimony is possibly being released into your life right now.
Jay, I am walking right along with you in trusting Jesus to do the impossible in my life, for God to continue to provide for me and to bless me daily. I was going to borrow some money today and add it to a loan I am already paying on because I have nothing left in my bank account and no expectation of anything coming in for another week. I have been praying about it and still went ahead yesterday and got the paperwork going.
After I hung up the phone yesterday I realized I had not picked out my scripture card for the day, which I usually do daily and the one I picked out was Matthew 21:22 – “All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” And on the back it said “Help me, dear Father, to believe that you will provide for me this day and in the future.” I felt God was talking to me but I still wasn’t sure and decided to wait one more day before completing the loan.
Today when I received the call back with the amount I could borrow and how much it would be monthly, I told the lady I would be in later to sign and pick up the check. While I was trying to figure out exactly where I would put the money, on which bills I needed to pay, again, I felt I needed to pray and to just sit and think about what I was going to do. I picked out another scripture card and this time it was Psalm 138:8 = “The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me, thy mercy, O Lord, endureth forever.” On the back it was “Thank you, Father, for the joy and peace you have given me.”
I knew instantly what I had to do so I called the finance company and told the lady I had been working with that I had changed my mind and I felt God telling me not to go through with it. Even though she and I had not talked about it, I knew she is a Christian lady and I felt I needed to give her the scripture references I had picked out to explain why I felt they were telling me to not do it because it was not what God wanted for me. I told her I felt that this was a test and that God just wants me to completely trust him for my provisions and not to depend upon the world. She asked me for the scriptures again and then said that she had been raised a Christian and that she too knows God and she understood completely why I felt I should not do this and she thanked me for sharing instead of simply telling her I had changed my mind.
Yes, I certainly could have used the money but I also want to be obedient to God and what He expects of me; He is Jehovah Jireh, my Provider, and I must never forget that.
Thank you for this blog post today and I will continue praying for you.
God bless,
Barbara
Remember that Psalm 92:12 declares that the righteous shall flourish like a palm tree. A palm tree can easily access water because however tall a palm tree actually is, the roots are the same depth. So if a palm tree is 20 feet tall the roots are 20 feet deep. And the Palm easily weathers storms. You often see other trees torn and ripped up during storms, the but Palm has what is called elasticity, which enables it to bend in the wind, but not be broken. God says those who are righteous will flourish like the Palm. So the encouragement from Matthew 6:33 remains when it says, ” Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all of these things shall be added unto you.” Don’t forget to seek His righteousness too. The bible says that righteousness exalts a nation. The first offering in Malachi chapter 3 is not money or stuff or belongings, but simply righteousness.
There are some other great insights we can learn from and about the palm tree, and they are available on my teaching CD, “Fresh Oil” which is a message about the Fresh Anointing of the Holy Spirit. If you are interested in receiving a copy, I will gladly send it to you free as a gift with an order of a copy of my newest book, Downloads from Heaven, written to help people like you and me, learn how to hear God’s voice better. Please email me (Jay West) at anointed2go@cox.net for the details. Or you can request the CD separate from the book.
