Dear Pastor Jay,
My greatest pleasure in life is not only to receive God’s blessings for me and my loved ones, but to give the glory and honor back to Him because I know that all good things come from our Father.
Four years ago, I went to see an eye specialist for the severe dry eye problems I developed after a botched LASIK surgery. My biggest regret in life was having that surgery. Not only did I still need glasses for my vision, but I can’t even describe all the pain I’ve been through with the dry eyes I developed from the surgery. It got so bad that even though I put drops in my eyes multiple times during the day and ointment in both eyes at night at bedtime, I was afraid of waking up in the morning because I’d always have stabbing pain in both eyes when I first opened them.
At that first eye appointment, the doctor made several suggestions on what to do about my dry eyes, all of which I’d already been doing. It was at that time that I discovered that I have glaucoma. I hadn’t even turned 50 yet, so the doctor was very worried that I had glaucoma at such a young age.
One year ago, I met you when you were speaking at a women’s Aglow conference I was attending. I got up the courage at the end of the prayer session to come up to you and ask you to pray for my dry eyes. You did, and from the next morning on to present day my eyes have not had that intense stabbing pain upon waking that they did before. I am so grateful for your prayers, but know that you were just the vessel and it was Jesus who healed me. Praise God!
This past year, more testing has shown that the glaucoma has gotten worse in both eyes. I am allergic to beta blockers so I am limited in the kind of eye drops I can use. Before each eye doctor visit, I pray to God saying I trust Him completely and am at peace with what the doctor says. I have asked for you to pray for my glaucoma to be reversed also, although I know that is not medically possible. Recently when I came to Omaha to attend the conference you were speaking at Calvary Lutheran, I specifically had you pray for my healing of the Glaucoma. (Nothing is impossible with God!)
The most incredible thing is happening now that I can’t explain. Even though visual field tests are showing that I am getting bigger holes in my vision with the advanced glaucoma, I am actually seeing so well now that many times I don’t even need glasses to drive!! I feel in my spirit that God is saying to keep trusting in Him to take care of me. It must be supernatural from God, because in the natural world my vision would keep getting worse instead of better. I will continue to trust in what my Lord and Savior has in store for me, no matter what. Meg Michener.
Now I (Jay West) just completed teaching a group of about 50 people for the past six weeks in a specific class on hearing God’s voice and responding to words of knowledge and prophetic words. This class was amazing! From the very first class to the last, they were so very hungry and attentive to the Word of God and the teaching. They wanted more and more and God kept feeding them. It was a joy to be with this Holy Spirit craving bunch of folks.
I watched them grow from the first week where some were timid to share even a short Scripture verse followed by prayer for others in the room without knowing the specific needs, to the 5th week where they went out in the public and witnessed at what we called a Spiritual Treasure Hunt. They prayed for others and got words of knowledge for total strangers at Target, WalMart, Home Depot, McDonalds, Burger King, Petsmart, Applebees, Village Inn and Many other places. Some actually prayed and ministered to over 15 different people, all of them total strangers. I watched some shy away from praying in small groups, only to laugh and giggle at how successful they were when in public praying with people that they had never previously met. The momentum shift was spectacular as they remembered that the Holy Spirit was in them for them but on them for others.
The enthusiasm of the class members reaching out and sharing Jesus was incredibly contagious and something to be admired. God was working and awesome, fantastic and amazing things were happening in and for the Kingdom of God. I have pages and pages of testimonies and plan to insert some of them in my next book to be published this summer in 2014.
Thank you E3 Class for making Jesus’ Day! Keep on being an Ambassador and doing what you see the Father doing – (John 5:19) and remember, Stop, Listen and Pray. Expect God to use you more and more as you expand and Advance His Kingdom. Isaiah 1:19 – If you are willing and Obedient you will see and experience the good of the land as Jesus introduces you to just the right people at just the right time. Some may become friends just like you have become my friends.
Remember to Shine Baby Shine!
You enjoyed theology which is a study of God’s Word and then moved to theophany which is experiencing God’s Word. And wow, was the power ever released through you. Don’t forget, Bible Study without Bible experience really is pointless.
And finally, with all the miraculous power we experienced in class and on the street, just remember, that you can’t get that with Satellite. Whoot!
Praise God for all the healings!
Just Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!

Praise the Lord Jay!! This a great testimony of the use of the power we have been given to heal people;
“And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases, 2 and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal” {Luke 9:1-2 – ESV}.
Thanks for sharing!!
Your practical teachings make it easy to digest and execute. Thank you for being ‘willing to yield’ to the Holy Spirit. Thank you for being so generous!
