I am happy to report that I have completed writing four chapters of my new book and the introduction all written since Friday of last week, and I will be working on chapter five today and tomorrow.  Please keep me in prayer.  I would like to have this book edited by Easter and to the publisher by mid April, and back to me by Mother’s Day if possible.  Then I can begin writing my third book.  I will reveal the title and nature of the current book soon.  My last book Downloads from Heaven is selling well, with orders and requests coming in every week.

Also, I took a bad fall while shoveling snow today – hit some ice and my right leg went up under and behind me unlike anything I have previously experienced,

Dear Jesus,

It’s a good thing you were born at night. This world sure seems dark. I have a good eye for silver linings. But they seem dimmer lately.

These killings, Lord.  These children, Lord.  Innocence violated.  Raw evil demonstrated. 

The whole world seems on edge. Trigger-happy. Ticked off. We hear threats of chemical weapons and nuclear bombs. Are we one button-push away from annihilation?

Your world seems a bit darker this Christmas.  But you were born in the dark, right? You came at night. The shepherds were night shift workers. The Wise Men followed a star. Your first cries were heard in the shadows. To see your face, Mary and Joseph needed a candle flame. It was dark. Dark with Herod’s jealousy. Dark with Roman oppression. Dark with poverty.  Dark with violence.

Herod went on a rampage, killing babies. Joseph took you and your mom into Egypt. You were an immigrant before you were a Nazarene.

Oh, Lord Jesus, you entered the dark world of your day. Won’t you enter ours? We are weary of bloodshed. We, like the wise men, are looking for a star. We, like the shepherds, are kneeling at a manger.

This Christmas, we ask you, heal us, help us, be born anew in us.

There’s 3 types of people in the world – those that are good in math and those that aren’t.

I wrote my letter to Santa Claus and asked for a fat wallet and a skinny body and then also stated, and please try not to confuse the two like last year.

 A wife asked her husband to go to the store and buy a carton of milk and she added, if they have avocados get six.   So when husband came home he had six cartons of milk and his wife asked why in the world did he buy six cartons of milk and he replied, because they had avocados.

Thinking she had possibly not heard me the first time, I decided to ask again. “How much time is the wait for a table?”

Looking up from her book, the hostess smiled and said “About ten minutes. We will inform you when your table is ready.”

A short time later, I heard an announcement over the intercom system, “Willette B. Long… Willette B. Long, your table is ready.”

An 84-year-old man was fishing in a boat in the middle of a lake, and he heard a voice – “pick me up”  and looking all around he did not see anything – then a few moments later came the voice, “pick me up” and the man looked down and saw a frog in the water and the frog said, “pick me up and kiss me and I will turn into a beautiful young lady and become your wife”  so the man picked up the frog and put it in his shirt pocket, and the frog said, ” Are you deaf, I said if you pick me up and kiss me I will turn into a beautiful young lady and will become your wife.”  But the man replied, ” at 84 I don’t really want or need a wife, but a talking frog – now that is something I can use.”

This past Friday while at a local grocery store, the elderly lady behind my son Jason accidentally bumped him with her cart, and we struck up a conversation with her as I was checking out – and my groceries were just being paid for and she kiddingly said I could pay for hers, and I agreed, but then she stated she was only kidding based on our conversation but I responded that I wasn’t kidding and wanted to do it. Of course she resisted.

I asked her if she was on a fixed income and she said yes, then I told her about another time I offered to pay for someone’s groceries
