Four years ago, I went to see an eye specialist for the severe dry eye problems I developed after a botched LASIK surgery. My biggest regret in life was having that surgery. Not only did I still need glasses for my vision, but I can’t even describe all the pain I’ve been through with the dry eyes I developed from the surgery. It got so bad that even though I put drops in my eyes multiple times during the day and ointment in both eyes at night at bedtime, I was afraid of waking up in the morning because I’d always have stabbing pain in both eyes when I first opened them. We drove over 1200 miles to minister in deep southwest Kansas in a small town almost to New Mexico, called Hugoton, KS, and a surprise storm came with rain, turning to ice and snow – On Sunday morning I drove 15 miles on sheer ice – very slowly and it took me an hour – semi trucks were passing me which was unbelievable – we prayed a lot – and due to the storm and a few other reasons, our average attendance was 9 for all three services – but we had a great time and I preached like there was 900 there.
